The 10U Grizzly Division of the Dragon’s Lair Tournament concluded in thrilling fashion where the Joliet Jaguars delivered a commanding performance to defeat Grizzly Monster in the championship game. The Jaguars came out firing, scoring 3 goals in the first period, followed by 2 in the second, and 2 more in the third, sealing a 7–3 victory with Boden Messer recorded a hat trick. Monsters showed resilience, netting 1 goal in each period, but couldn’t match the Jaguars’ offensive firepower.
The 10U Polar Division championship at the Dragon’s Lair Tournament saw a dominant performance by Kane County, who shut out the St. Jude Knights with a decisive 7–0 victory. Kane County came out strong, scoring 3 goals in the first period, followed by 2 in the second, and 2 more in the third, showcasing a relentless offensive attack and airtight defense. The Knights fought hard but were unable to break through Kane County’s disciplined structure and goaltending.
12U Polar Division, The Chicago Hawks delivered a powerhouse performance defeating the Green Bay Chilis with a commanding 10–4 win. The Hawks came out blazing, scoring 4 goals in the first period, followed by 3 in the second, and 3 more in the third. Leading the charge was #87 Casey, who thrilled fans with a hat trick. The Green Bay Chilis showed early promise with 3 goals in the first period, but were held to just 1 more goal for the remainder of the game, unable to match the Hawks’ relentless pace and precision.
12U Grizzly Division The Green Bay Chilis delivered a flawless performance Division final, shutting out the Monsters Hockey Club with a commanding 6–0 win. From the opening faceoff, the Chilis controlled the pace of the game, combining sharp offensive execution with a rock-solid defense. Their goaltender stood tall, turning away every shot to preserve the Shut out, while the offense lit the lamp consistently across all three periods. The Monsters Hockey Club battled hard but couldn’t find a way past the Chilis’ disciplined structure and relentless pressure.
12U Kodiak Division The Vernon Hills Ice Dogs defeated the Green Bay Chilis by a score of 7 – 1. The Ice Dogs came out strong, scoring 3 goals in the first period, 3 more in the second, and 1 in the third, showcasing a balanced and relentless offensive attack. Their defense held firm, allowing just 1 goal from the Chilis in the second period.
14U Kodiak Division The Monsters Hockey Club delivered a thrilling comeback performance in the final, defeating the Northwest Chargers by a score of 6–2. The Chargers struck early, scoring both of their goals in the first period, but the Monsters responded with resilience and firepower. They tallied 1 goal in the first, 1 in the second, and exploded with 4 goals in the third period, sealing a dominant finish and the division championship. The Monsters’ third-period surge showcased their depth and determination, overwhelming the Chargers and securing their place at the top of the 14U Kodiak Division.
16U Grizzly Division The Vernon Hills Ice Dogs capped off a stellar tournament run with a commanding 8–1 win over the Monsters Hockey Club in the 16U Grizzly Division championship. The Ice Dogs controlled the game from start to finish, with a standout performance from #11 Bryce Mitchell, who earned a hat trick. The Monsters Hockey Club managed to get on the board once, but the Ice Dogs’ relentless pace and sharp execution proved too much to overcome.
18U Grizzly Division Milwaukee Tuskers Rally to Capture 18U Grizzly Division Title. In a thrilling comeback, the Milwaukee Tuskers overcame an early deficit to defeat the Midwest Blackbirds 4–3 and claim the 18U Grizzly Division championship. The Blackbirds opened strong, scoring 1 goal in the first period and 2 more in the second, but the Tuskers responded with a surge of their own—3 goals in the second period and the game-winner in the third. #8 Zizkat, delivered a hat trick.
18U Kodiak Stevenson Skates to Victory in 18U Kodiak Division Championship with a 5–2 win over Glenbard. Stevenson set the tone early, scoring 2 goals in the first period, followed by 2 more in the second, and 1 in the third. Glenbard responded with 1 goal in the second and another in the third but couldn’t close the gap against Stevenson’s consistent offensive pressure and solid defensive play.
🏒10U Girls Division SHA Edge Triumphs in 10U Girls Division Championship at Dragon’s Lair Tournament defeating the Green Bay Chilis with a final score of 8–3 The Edge came out strong, scoring 3 goals in the first period, 4 in the second, and 1 in the third, showcasing a balanced and high-powered offense. The Green Bay Chilis fought hard, scoring 1 goal in each period, but couldn’t keep pace with the Edge’s relentless attack.
🏒12U Girls Division In a tightly contested battle, the Glenview Stars emerged victorious over SHA Edge with a narrow 1–0 win to claim the 12U Girls Division title. The game was a defensive showcase, with both teams battling fiercely for every inch of ice. The Stars managed to break through with the game’s only goal, holding off a determined SHA Edge squad to secure the championship.
🏒14U Girls Division CHHC Prospects Power Past SHA Edge to Win Girls 14U Division Title with a strong 5–1 victory over SHA Edge. After a scoreless first period, the Prospects broke through with 2 goals in the second and added 3 more in the third, showcasing their offensive depth and late-game dominance. SHA Edge managed to spoil the shutout with a lone goal in the third, but the Prospects’ lead was never in doubt.
🏒16U Girls Division Little Caesars Clinches 16U Girls Division Title in Defensive Battle. In a tightly contested and defensively disciplined matchup, Little Caesars edged out CHHC with a narrow 1–0 victory to claim the 16U Girls Division championship at the Dragon’s Lair Tournament, held at the Darien Sportsplex Ice Arena. The game remained scoreless through two periods, with both teams showcasing elite-level goaltending and defensive structure. The deadlock was finally broken in the third period, when Little Caesars found the back of the net with the game’s only goal, sealing the win and the division crown.
